notes and memories.

As I’m alone in the car with the radio on … a song comes on and hits me like a 70 mph curve ball on a outstretched baseball field . Still got it for you by Drake and Tyga. The lyrics flow through my ears and into my thoughts as I think of the fact that you are no longer mine . “ Even though we let it go ,its better than you know i still got it for you… ” I cringe in pain as i realize that the words Drake had sung are words i could say to you . I still got it for you . But we’ve both moved on …its too late now. I reach to turn the volume knob to low but instead my fingers and the soul inside me twist it in the other direction . The song plays louder.  The musics blasting through my cars now . The speakers are pounding with the base of the song .. and so is my heart. I look up at the city skies as i sing along and remember all our memories.
